Ornament Exchange Help

Due to reasons I do not wish to discuss I feel it is in my best interest, and perhaps the Community Boards, that I do not conduct the Ornament Exchange this year - I am willing to help but I don't want to have my major hand in it as it might draw some people from not participating and I don't want to see that happen.

I am looking, however, for someone that might be interested in conducting it. If you are interested, please email me and I will help you out and give you some suggestions as well as email you the spreadsheet that I have used the last 2 years if you'd like.

This is a very fun exchange and has been looked forward to almost the day after Christmas for the following year. I have met a lot of very fun people doing this and I've seen other DISers create great friendships with their exchangee.

I have no idea what's going on with the CB lately. I know people have been banned and that there's a lot of bad blood between folks but I have no idea who is who's friend, enemy or otherwise. Or even who posts under multiple usernames. I want to say all that upfront so you'll know where I'm coming from but here's what I think: You should do the ornament exchange again this year and not worry about who will drop out and who won't. You've handled it every year and did an awesome job. I don't see any volunteers to take your place any way, do you? It takes someone with good organizational and attention to details type of skills to do this which eliminates a lot of folks (like me) but yet I would really like to see the ornament exchange go forward again this year. Please reconsider your position.

I sure don't know what's going on around here...but its not exclusive to the CB...DCL is feeling it too!.

Chris...don't quit for the wrong reasons. If you enjoy doing it....then the heck with the few who are giving you grief!!!
