Ornament Collectors?

Does anyone else out there collect ornaments? I try to get one (dated) each visit to WDW. While at Days of Christmas I saw a glass blown Mickey Ears ornament with Shamrocks on it....didn't buy it while there but regretted it so I just called the Merchandising Dept and ordered one!
I don't know if they make these for all the different holidays? You know how you can find all the antenna covers in all the fun designs now...do they do that with the ornaments does anyone know? Valentines day...etc.....
Also, is this board just for pin collectors? If so, can one be started for Misc. collections?

I saw different ornaments at the Christmas store in DTD. They were shaped like the MM icon (if my memory is correct). There were no dates on them but it had space on the back (ear) for a dates to be added the you or them (for a fee, of course).

I have been getting ornaments for years now. I just love them. I'm thinking about getting a small table top tree to display them instead of putting them on our regular tree. I don't like them getting "mixed in" with the regular stuff.

mt2...I have a fake white tree that I put all my "fairy, angel, princess" type and tinkerbell ornaments. We have a collection of Disney characters as angels that my dh hangs on garland draped around our windows. So, yes, your idea is a good one!!

I have a huge collection of Lenox ornaments, which I love but have moved onto Disney ornaments....I started collecting the Lenox Disney but it really doesn't reflect the look I want. I love the big blown glass Mickey Ears I think I have about 6 or so (most are personalized), along with some resort specific ones, I try to get one dated when I go but most are whatever I like no real theme except maybe classic Disney.....I think when I'm done it will be hodge podge looking but I think that is fine because Disney itself is so varied. I ordered the Mickey Ears with the Shamrocks on it when I got home and am hoping that I will be able to get other ones as the Holidays approach I don't know if they make them tho' so I guess I will just have to call each Holiday! When I was there I thought it wasn't 'christmasy' so I passed....as soon as I got home I thought....that would look great on an ornament stand right there! So my thought is to use it as decoration for the different holidays. My kids are older now so I don't dec out the house as much as I used to, except for Xmas and Halloween, this would be great!
Last year I put up 5 trees, (I LOVE Xmas!) the Disney tree has the Monorail around it rather than a train and my son has 3 pieces (Epcot, Cont. and GF) that go with it. I think that will be enough. What I really want is a Tree Topper for it. I did see some while there recently but they were too themed for what I am looking for.
They had a whole section dedicated to Tinker Bell if fairies are your thing you would love it, another one was the princesses. They were very nice!
Well, that's my story. Glad to hear there are other collectors out there too!
