We are leaving tomorrow for Orlando. I checked the weather on accuweather and it looks like rain, thunderstorms and low 70's much of the week. Do you think this is accurate? thanks

I think as the weather warms up there is always a chance for rain and thunderstorms in Florida. If you do get wet weather it will likely be in the late afternoon and will not last very long but even if it does rain all day get yourself a poncho and head to the parks. You can still have a good time, lots of the attractions are inside and the rain will keep the crowds a little lower than they would have been. :)

we had quite a bit of rain on our August trip, and I agree, just grab a poncho and go. It will clear up on and off. I almost wasted a day because of the weather and my DH talked me into heading out anyway and we had a great vacation despite the weather.

I've been watching the temps too and 70 just doesn't seem real warm to me, everyone told me we'd just need shorts/tees on our trip and I'm not so sure. I guess a lot can change in 3 weeks though.

A rainy day at Disney beats a sunny day at home! :umbrella:

Have a wonderful trip!

weather.com shows good weather next week at WDW, even if slightly below average temps...

Weather.com shows the weather looking good next week, accuweather shows not so good weather, which one is most accurate?

Predicting weather more than a few days out is sketchy. We're headed down in a few days and, havig read the reports, are planning on mostly nice, but with some rain. When we went in summertime a couple of years ago, it rained HARD almost every day - on a pretty regular afternoon schedule, too. However, it never lasted long, so I'm glad we never went running for the busses when the rain started. Our sweatshirts were enough to keep us reasonably dry until we could get somewhere to hang out for a while. Just keep a light jacket or poncho with you and have fun! :flower:

Even in May you need to expect some rain. The last time we went to WDW in May it rained everyday for about an hour at the same time every afternoon. We could pretty much bet on it. But it never lasted too long. If it rains it will stop very soon.So now when ever we go I always remember to buy those 99 cent emergency ponchos for me & my DH. They come in handy. :umbrella:
