Is it just me or does Orlando TSA destroy how you pack your clothes to go home?

I am the one that washes, folds and irons the clothes on vacations. I calculate how much clothes we need and wash and iron the clothes and begin to pack. I put the dirty clothes in a plastic bag to go home. All the clothes are folded and packed nicely. When we get home we find that TSA has mixed the dirty and clean clothes so I have to rewash the clothes when we get home. Nothing is ever taken it’s just one big mess.

Are you saying that TSA always opens and searches your bags when you check them at MCO? You should think about what might be packed in your bags which is triggering so many searches.

Actually clothes packed in ziploc bags aren't usually opened as TSA can just squeeze them to see if anything besides clothes are inside.

Next time, pack the clean clothes in one suitcase and dirty in another. Or don't overpack so you don't return home with so much unworn clothing. Problem solved.

Hey Scrooge, I see 39th MP in your avatar. Is live fire in your recent past so that explosive residue might be detected in your luggage?

Airport Security Screeners are not the neatest when it come to searches.

My stuff is always gone through, too. But I understand why... I often pack a ziplock of powdered laundry detergent, some organic greens powder for smoothies, and a knife in a sheath to cut up my fruits and veggies with a the resort. Because I KNOW they'll want to inspect these items, I always put them in the mesh zippered pocket on the inside of the top flap closure thing, all together. The rest of the suitcase is normally just clothes and shoes. And my toiletry bag. It has helped keep the clothes together, but I still get the little notice slip in it.

I've learned my lesson! I don't wash anything, since I have to wash again once I get home. I let them go through my dirty smelly, folded!, clothes and underware and socks :cloud9:. And it's not as messed up as normal. But it's only leaving Orlando to go home, not coming into Orlando.

39th Military Police Co., out of Jackson Barricks New Orleans. (Desert Storm Vet.)

I work for the local Sheriff's office, now, so live fire is twice a year.

I just wish TSA would start hiring better people and slowly get rid of the 'grandfathered' workers they have now. (Remember when 911 happened the TSA took all the screeners and made them Federal employees, it's time to start weeding some of them out.)

Not disagreeing with your points. Airport Security Screeners have such high turnover that it's difficult to imagine that there are too many with 10 years plus time still doing frontline screening on the job.

I'm just tired of TSA, if we would not be on a short time frame I would drive and not deal with TSA. But we want to maxamize our time and fun, so we fly.

I understand what TSA is doing, but they could do it a lot better and leave my luggage and old ladies and kids alone.
