Can someone tell me the bus we need to get to Discovery Cove on one day?
Then the bus to Seaworld on a desperate day, then on to the Florida mall from Seaworld?

Just so I can make a note :) does anyone they approx time to get there as well? I knows it's about $2 pp per trip so I think it'll save us a fortune compared to taxis!

Also does anyone know how easy it is to get a taxi in between resorts? We've got an ADR at Jiko, AK lodges on the 2nd night and were staying at SSR so I figured our best way would be get a taxi to and from Jiko. Can we just get reception to order one?

Thanks :)

Here is a link to the bus website:Go Lynx

you can get timing from there. The buses you are interested in are the 50 and 111.

With regard to getting to Jiko - as you are at SSR I would hop on the bus/boat or walk to DTD then catch the AKL bus from there. I think a taxi would be $15/$20 plus tip however I haven't used taxis in years so that might be off however SSR and AKL are on opposite sides of property.

Hmmm, i replied to this post earlier on - wonder where my post went :confused3

Oh well, Tracy has pretty much covered it so I'll just add for Discovery Cove, you alight the Lynx Bus (#50) at Sea World and walk towards the main entrance. There is a courtesy phone there, that you will use to call Discovery Cove and they will send somebody to collect you.

you need the 50 lynx from DTD or TTC to Seaworld and as already mentioned call from the main entrance for a pick up for DC. You need the 50 to seaworld then the 111 from the same side of the road you get off the bus for the Florida Mall. Make sure you ask for a transfer when you board the 50 bus if you are going to swap to another bus. Make sure you have the right money as well as they don't give change.

Have a look at the Lynx web site, I think somebody but a link above, look at the Schedules and you'll see the times. The bus does work pretty well to schedule.

As already mentioned, I would also catch a boat/bus/walk to DTD from SSR and catch a bus to AKL. If your reservations are in the evening, then maybe catch a taxi back. The bell services outside the main door at AKL will call one for you. Its likely to be in the region of $20..

Thanks :)

:)

We were there last week & used the #50 bus. It left TTC at 03 & 33 past the hour in the morning & took approx 35 mins to SW. In the afternoon / eve it left SW at 10 & 40 past the hour. I guess it would be 10 mins or so from TTC to DTD, but the Linx website will give you the time. :)

The bus from DTD to AKL takes ages- allow lots of time so you don't get stressed about missing your ADR:thumbsup2

Thanks for the link! Very useful. I have a Florida notebook too! It has all sorts in it now :)

:)Yes great link; I've saved it for our trip too as we won't have a car this year. Thanks:goodvibes

This isn't really related but it is about transport so might as well ask here. Does anybody know if you booked Magical Express do you get instructions on what to do in your Mickey Mail? It said something about it in the letter we got but there was nothing about Magical Express in the pack :confused3:confused3 We already know what to do but worried that if it wasn't included that our ME booking hasn't gone through:worried:

Ours said the same but there wasn't anything in the pack either, I don't think you do get anything if you book in the uk. I have the confirmation email but I can't remember if we got any thing else last time.

That's ok then, we have the confirmation email printed so if there was a problem at least we would have that

You won't get anything apart from the confirmation e mail. I agree it's worth printing that. We don't get the luggage labels like US travellers :(

Has anybody taken a taxi to the Florida mall from DTD? Know how much it is? Having just seen that the 111 service has been discontinued I don't think I want to faf around with two buses!
