LOL! Agreed. It was an awesome place in its prime and when you've had an excessive amount of free beer you don't care that the log flume ride queue is boring and ugly.
My only memories of the place, is my mother getting pooped on by a seagull while watching the flume ride, and waiting line forever to get a roast beef sandwich with my father. When we finally found a place to sit to eat the sandwich, a seagull flew in and stole some roast beef straight out of the sandwich in flight as my father was holding it. It was nuts. The seagulls were like a Hitchcock movie.
That can happen anywhere with birds. I once had a grackle bop me on top of the head while we were walking through World Showcase. My hair can look like straw in the right lighting so I figured that the bird thought I was nesting material.
This was 30 years ago or so, so my memory is foggy. I'm pretty sure it was the opposite order of what you suggested. Mostly because I remember my Dad teasing my mom about being the incident on her head....then the beef was stolen, which turned the tables in a hurry.
And perhaps Nintendo land.
