Ok guys, I need more help. We spend a combined 4 hours on the phone with disney today in regards to a Pin code they (apparently erroneously) sent me today. We spoke to 3 different CMs and 2 levels of supervisors with an ultimate resolution of us getting 10% room only discount. (a savings of $100)
While that seems nice, by the time we were through with the phone calls I was pretty upset. I've never, ever been "mad" at Disney, but today they really hurt my feelings. I called them because they sent me a code whether it was sent in error or not. By the time we got off the phone we had been made to feel like we were the disney version of 'extreme couponers', and the type of people who would do anything to get a few bucks off our trip. Being that we've never booked with any kind of special rate or pin code before, we do the most expensive package at BBB every year, and we love DxDP, I obviously feel that's not true. I feel like I've been quite happy to part with my money at Disney, and I hope that's not going to change.
My question is this Neboites (and Marita in particular if you don't mind)-what do I do now? Do I email or call Customer Service to explain that this happened to me? (and of course risk being treated again as a couponer) Or, do I let this go and hope that the memory has faded by the time we go on this trip?
Well, I'm not Marita, but I would let it go. You can't change their minds. They are wrong about you and your spending habits at WDW. Honestly, I'm surprised that they don't have access to your prior vacation files to see your spending patterns. Yes, they should have treated you with respect, but sometimes you have to be the bigger person.
