Orlando Sentinel Calls Us DIS'ers "Members of the Mickey Cult"

I have been called worse :lmao:

Brainwashed and proud to be a member :)

I'm not sure they really understand what a cult is.
As for me, I've drank the Koolade and am moving on to the Dole Whip, while I wait for orders from the Great Exalted Poohbah of the DIS.

Yup drank the moo-hee-tahs, ate the dole whip, bought DVC, been there a week every month for the past 4 months and at least 2 weeks every year since the 80's, got the tee shirts:[not the Unplugged one yet): so yea if that makes me a Mickey Mooney I'm proud of it!

popcorn::Oh and btw O Sentinal, the parks had 100 min. wait times, the restaurants were full and the hotels were mobbed every time I was there. Are they all cultists, I think not. The economy is in trouble and may get worse but I think people will cut back in other ways to find their laughing place. I know I will.
Maybe the tourism board of Orlando should take note of WDW service and entertainment value for the $. They may learn something.

I don't mind being a member of this Mickey Cult, however, this reporter is pretty smart. He went to the source!! We are the true believers and if we are starting to crack, what about all the non-believers out there (several more million of them), those who don't see the true magic behind the Mouse? If we are "cracking" as he put it, what lies in store for WDW and tourism in general in Orlando? The non-believers will just cancel a trip and think oh well, we'll go another time. Believers will sell their Mama to get to WDW once a year! :rotfl:

The article, besides the quote about the Mickey cult" is very thought provoking and makes you wonder if Disney can weather the current economic downturn??

"If lovin' you is wrong, I don't want to be right..."

'Nuff said! ;)
