Orlando Sanford Airport

Has anyone ever landed there instead of international? How easy is it to get to your resort at Disney? Would you know of any shuttle or how much time and cost it would be by taxi. Would appreciate any suggestion you might have. Thank you.

It is about an hour away from Disney. I don't know of a shuttle, we rented a car.

It is smaller which is nice.

The only problem we had was coming home. We had an 8am flight. We thought we had left enough time to get checked in and through security etc, but when we got there they had about 4 flights or so all leaving within a short time of each other and only 2 agents on. So consequently we barely made our flight. When we asked would they hold the plane since so many people were not throught she said that was up to the pilot, but he didn't have to, we should have been there earlier.

Our trip in 2004 was in to Sanford. But our Disney package included shuttle.
We were the only ones there. I guess most people fly in to MCO.
If you are using a Disney package, transporatation should have been included.
You may have to try getting in touch with the airport shuttle services to find out the cost.

If you go to the Mears web-site they do have shuttles from Sanford. You do need to call them to get the price. If you go to Sanford Airport's website it does list other shuttle services.
