Ok, I know this has been asked before, but I can't find the thread. We will be staying offsite for part of our stay this year and want some GOOD, inexpensive offsite restaurants - not buffets, although if you know some SUPERB buffets then let me know.

Someone either point me in the direction of the relevant thread or post some restaurants on here.

Thanks
Kay

You could try Chilis - various locations - when we were there in Oct, they had a $20 for 2 special on (3 courses, and you could get the chocolate mountain dessert thing which is soo yummy and does 3 of us) which was really good value.

Agree about Chillis. You could also look at the Orlando Ale House. When we were there, kids eat free on Tuesday!

Another vote for Chilli's and a new offering - a similar chain -Applebee's with a similar deal ( 2 for $20 for shared starter (huge) and two mains. We also liked Cracker Barrel:thumbsup2

We tae at Cheesecake factory for the first time a few weeks ago, it was fab

Thanks guys but done Chilis (really thought it was nothing special) and Cheesecake Factory - an absolute must do fave.

To anyone else reading this - if you haven't done Cheesecake Factory at Mall at Millenia, seriously, DO IT! This year!

Its been a while since any threads so will not go searching.
Heres a few we like.
Chilis
Mimis Cafe
Orlando Ale House
Mannys chophouse
Logans Roadhouse
Olive Garden (Hunters creek not LBV)

Still want go try (will we ever)
Tony Romas & Bahama Breeze

Have you only been to Chilis once?
I would try again if you have. Had about 5 meals there now and will be back again, all good and they do one of the best desserts I have ever had, last pic.

The chilis food looks good on your pics Wayne, but to us it was just average kinda like the stuff up at Junction27 (leeds). However I must urge you - BAHAMA BREEZE - do it! It's awesome...and if you like ribs...oh my!

Not sure what your budget is but I would personally choose Bravo over Olive Garden any day but my DH would disagree lol. Usually Bravo costs between $15-$20 more per couple than Olive Garden.

Love Tony Romas for ribs.
PF Changs for chinese.
Cheesecake factory for variety.
Melting Pot for fondue (although this place can be get a little pricey)
Chipotle for mexican. Not a table service but imo beats any mexican table service in Orlando. Some argue its expensive for counter service but I can't get enough of it.
:cloud9:
Before we started going to Shula's we really liked Black Angus and I would def still go there for a decent cheap filet but can't drag hubby away from Shula lol.

Olive Garden is good, we always seem to find you get miles more food than you can eat, but I suppose thats the case in most USA restuarants.

Another one we always enjoy is TGI Fridays, the food is always excellent there and the Jack Daniels sauce is amazing!

We always stay off site so - as a result - have our favourites.
Bahama Breeze
NBA at Citywalk - DW claims it is the best steak she has ever had and the home of her favourite pudding (sorry - dessert). Again very reasonable prices.
Margharitaville at Citywalk - it surprised us how reasonable the prices were :)
Friendlys - last time we were there they had a meal and ice cream for $10 deal. We have never had a bad meal yet and the staff are excellent.

We have never eaten at Chillis or Applebees in Florida - but did a lot when we lived in Kuwait. We always found them to be hit and miss. You could eat the same meal 2 days running and have it be the best you've ever had one day and the worse the next :confused3

IHOP we found to be fantastic for value, and good quality, for breakfast - though we have never eaten there at any other time of day.

Hi our faves are -

Outback,
Romano Macaroni Grill
Cafe d'antonio (at celebration $$$)
Red Lobster
Joes Crab Shack
Fishbones (sand lake road $$$)
Charlies steakhouse $$$
Margaritaville
Cheesecake Factory

i would love to try the Melting Pot and Texas de Brazil but dh is not keen!

Ohh yep Texas De Brazil is great but if you haven't got a 2-4-1 voucher works out at over $100. We still prefer Ohana to it.

It must be men LOL my DH does not really like Melting Pot but I love it so much he sucks it up. ;)

Chilis is great for value for money, all the drinks ar 2 for 1 and that $20 deal is great.
Sweet Tomatoes is great, Tony Romas and my new favorite is Millers Ale house on I drive.

I agree on TGI's we ate at the one on Idrive (next to Pirates) a few times as it was close to our hotel, and it was so much cheaper than TGI's here. Can't really remember where we ate in the evenings, We usually alternate by going to a nice place which costs us a bit extra one night maybe followed by two nights of more 'budget' dining. I remember we went to Pizza Hut in Orlando on a whim, it was OK. We've never tried Chilli's but would have liked to, but run out of time. :)

We've been to NBA a couple of times, and it's not bad actually, much better than it's neighbour Hard Rock Cafe. Though I distinctly remember not enjoying being there much as my hubby ignored me the whole time to watch basketball. :rotfl: The other thing about going to City Walk is that it's a nice atmosphere in the evenings, and we've spent quite a few evenings there just wandering about, going to the cinema or browsing the shops and bars. :) I think the parking is free after a certain time too. :)

Cheesecake factory and Bahama breeze are offsite favourites, and must dos even when we have free DDP!

We also like Red Lobster, Romano Maccaroni Grill, Carrabas and Millers Ale House LBV (Orlando Ale House) and cracker barrel for breakfast mmmmmm.

Thanks guys but done Chilis (really thought it was nothing special) and Cheesecake Factory - an absolute must do fave.

To anyone else reading this - if you haven't done Cheesecake Factory at Mall at Millenia, seriously, DO IT! This year!

We found the portions HUGE, but it was so nice we had to eat it all!
