I don't know if it's Outlets as a whole, or just this particular outlet, but I find their "deals" very underwhelming. Typical price sticker: Retail $59.99, outlet price $49.99. That's not even as good a discount as a sale at the local mall.

I guess it's a cool place if you like the high end designer stuff like Zegna and Armani, but the normal mall stuff (Gap, Banana Republic, Kenneth Cole etc) I just don't see the discounts.

I don't either - so I prefer the closer to WDW - Lake Buena Vista Outlet Mall.

I get better prices - I like I can drive to shops - mother is 84 and has problems walking...

I agree, it is not discounted however their Nike town always have good deals. Last time we were down we were able to pick up a pair of comfy SHOX for me, my hubby, and the littlest member of my family all for under 100.00. Other than that we like Beltz. But I do have to admit I like the overpriced fudge shop that is in the Premium Outlet though

Outlet stores are overrated, people automatically think they are inexpensive. You have to know what you are looking for and know what it typically sells for.

We go to the Premium Mall.
We hit the Disney store (which the Universal store is right across from Disney) and we hit the Gourmet Kitchen Store and leave.

Then drive to Beltz and hit the Disney store there. We have found even if you only go to the Disney store you can find at least one bargain that made the trip worthwhile.

We don't generally go outlet shopping when on our WDW trips. I do know though we've hit the mall a few times right of I-4. It has the Disney parks merchandise outlet and the Universal parks merchandise outlet right across from one another. We only go to those 2 shops when we go to the mall though.

Premium Outlet Mall was good when it first opened in 2000, but isn't quite as good now. It is still a nice mall and has some nice shops, but isn't a real bargain hunters paradise at all.

Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores is a better bet if its bargains your after and some of the stores at both malls have better stock and better bargains here for example OshKosh and Nine West

Add to the fact traffic is brutal over there if you go when services at Mary Queen of the Universe are over. It could take you 20 minutes to drive a half mile with that single lane road and police directing traffic.

While I agree you will not find "fire sale" prices at the Premium Outlets, you will find prices in line with a sale at your local department store. However, the Outlets will generally have much more of a selection. While the sale merchandise at Dillards will be picked over, at the Polo store, I can always find any color shirt in my size.

Re: traffic. Make sure you aren't on the Vineland when one of Dolly Parton's dinner shows gets out, either.

I think this is true of most outlet places lately. There are some discounted items and some full price items. We go to Orlando Premium outlets when at WDW and have purchased some great values. However there are some not so great deals. It is like a combination of a regular mall and outlet.

We visit the outlet center in Sevierville TN often. There are some places there (Bath and Body Works, Old Navy, The Disney Store) that are not really any more discounted than the mall stores.
