We're staying on site at the values on the 10th on, but we may drive in the night before and will be needing a room for overnight. We don't need transportation or anything but my concern is how safe is a local hotel with all our stuff still packed in the car. Would it be better to stay maybe an hour or so away towards ocala?:confused3

I personaly would not leave visible luggage or valuables in plain view inside a car overnight regardless of the town I was in. Why not simply take a few minutes and unload any visible luggage from your car and bring them in the hotel room with you?

both areas have thiefs.

I would go to Kissimmee just because you generally find a cheaper place that is still nice.

We usually go down a day early also and stay in Kissimmee at the Quailty Inn on 192. It's cheap and clean enough for one night.
