Orlando International to Kissimmee

We are going to Orlando in April and we are 2 famililes. We have a fly/drive deal and pick up 2 full size cars at the airport. However, our flight gets in at 11pm local time and my SIL is worried about driving at night for the 1st time (she has been b4 and driven then). We don't know the name of our villa yet but it is somewhere in Kissimmee. My SIL has suggested getting 2 taxis from the airport to the villa and doing the same back in the morning to pick up the hire cars. I would rather just drive but my SIL is adamant she will not drive. Does anyone know how much the taxis will be roughly?

Taxis would be around $50 each, so at least $100 each way if you need two taxis.

I suggest you go ahead and get the cars. Its really not that difficult to get from the airport to the WDW area and its well signed. Its just aquestion of exactly where your condo is from there.

Many thanks. My DH is on the phone to shock her with the price so hopefully she will change her mind

Why don't you let her take a taxi and you pick up your car. Then you can drive her back in the morning to get her car? Don't foget to change her pick up day. By the way, her car rental price may go up also, by not getting the car when you had the reservation.

If you take 417 from the airport to Kissimmee it is a very nice road to drive. I would get good directions and drive to the villas.
