Hi,

I'm going to Disney next September with my wife, and two young boys and wanted some advice for getting around the airport. When we went last year after picking up our baggage we had to take an escalator up in the airport meaning we had to carry all our bags and struggle up the escalator with our one year old and a pushchair, it was a nightmare but was told there was no lift. Is this right as next year our one year old will be three and we will have a new one year old and as such, more baggage?

It seems crazy for it to be so difficult for families to get around this airport so I kind of feel I must have done something wrong so am looking for others experiences.

assuming you come on a direct flight from the UK
there is a lift, well hidden but it's there, and it's intended for disabled people, to go from customs level up to the monorail station (it's not a monorail, but, you know, lol)

you can ask the airport employees, but they'll probably tell no unless you're disabled

the other way is to put your bags on the second belt right after customs, then take the escalator up, then "monorail" and then collect the bags at the second bagage claim (one level up from DME and rental cars)
but that second option is very time consuming, and I'd rather struggle with kids and puschair than use that second option

Yeah as that of it is good however to have a plan B in place. In case the kids and push chair does not work. Two options but yeah Plan B can be time consuming

There are usually airport employees at the bottom of the stairs (next to the escalator) and my experience suggests they are willing to help you negotiate the escalator if you have more bags than people/hands.
