Orlando Hotels

can anyone suggest a good hotel for us to stay in while in Orlando. We want something which is clean, comfortable, not too expensive and provides transport to the attractions.

your assistance would be much appreciated.

Has anyone stayed at the Amerisuites in Kissimee? Please reply

The reports we have heard about hotels in I drive so far has put us right off

Hi Tracy and Dan...welcome to the DIS.

I will be staying at the Comfort Suites, Maingate East for 53.00 a night (via hotelmartusa.com). This is for a 2 room suite with a partial divider. It is actually located in Kissimmee.
I have read a lot of positive feedback on this hotel and hopefully my experience will be just as positive.

This hotel is about 2 years old, offers a free continental breakfast and free shuttles to all the major attractions including Universal, IOA and Sea World. You can visit their web site at www.choicehotels.com.

There is a nice place that has just been built called Calypso Cay. There you will find a Country Inn and Suite which you can book at a great rate from Valuetrips.com.
You should definitley check this place out online. go to calypsocay.com and at the bottom of the first paragraph you can click on "updated construction page" that has good pictures of the place. Also check out the "interactive resort map" from the right hand side of the page. This gives you an overview of the property.

Hi...asking where is a good hotel in Orlando is kind of like asking where is a good fishing hole in Canada, or where is a good restaurant in New York!!!....the answers can go on forever....Here are a few suggestions based on what budget you have and what I feel is the BEST deal for the dollar, but it does involve a little risk and trust in Priceline.com.....also Priceline is best for 2 max 3 people.....best deal we have had for a week....a 3 star bid at Priceline for 40 dollars a night...."disneyworld vicinity only" was at Rennaisance World Gate...a 90 dollar night hotel for 40...If more than 3 of you I would follow suggestions above.....you should be able to get a nice hotel room for 45 to 60 a night, a basic suite for 59 to 99 a night (Amerisuites, Sierrra Suites, Hawthorn Suites, Country Inn and Suites)........for 100 to 150 there are true large two room suites with lots of extras (Homewood Suites, Embassy Suites, caribe Royale, Marriott, Hilton and so on..good luck...Ted
