Hi everyone!
My wedding is in 35 days, and we had originally planned to get a marriage license through the mail but it looks like we will not be able to since DH2B and I wont be able to see eachother until a week before the wedding. Anyhow, since my planning packet is long gone I was wondering if anyone had the courthouse address, hours, and if anyone knew how much it would be for the license.

Thanks!
Ashley

hours for the two courthouse are monday-friday 8:30am-4:30pm eastern time, excluding holidays both parties must be present to receive a license. blood tests are not required, proper identification is needed such as a driver's license, certified copy of birth certificate or a passport. if a previous marriage ended in divorce within the past 12 months a copy of the divorce decree is needed. there is no waiting period for a marriage license for out of state residents & the marriage license is good for 60 days. cost of the license is $88.50 and is subject to change.

you also might want to look into a service like aweddingforyou.com which gets the marriage license for you, they offer an expiated service if your wedding is less than 30 days. the cost for the no hassle license is i think $190. we were thinking of using them or a similiar service so we dont have to waste a vacation day at the courthouse.

best of luck ashley, i'm so happy everything has worked out for you two, it really is a fairytale.

oh I need that info too fantastic - I'd downloaded the form but hadn't noticed the opening hours. Might check out that site though, I wonder if they'll deliver to the UK... only think is I thought there was a limit of 2 weeks on the licence...

Just a little more info...we got ours at the Osceola County Courthouse. It took about 10 minutes (after waiting in line for an hour). The employees were VERY helpful. We had our birth certificates, but only needed our drivers licenses. Also, when I needed additional copies of the license a few weeks after the wedding, they were incredibly accomodating and had the additional certificates to me within just days...they were the easiest people I dealt with before, during or after my wedding (excluding my EM...I loved her).

Hey guys... The cost went up to $97.50 for the marriage license. We got ours 2 days before the wedding (3/24), at the courthouse in Kissimmee. It was so close and easy! We got there about 10 minutes before they opened, and we were in and out in 10 minutes, no lines to wait in! Very easy and only needed drivers license.

ok, glad this thread was posted.
just wondering. I have an appointment for 2 pm at carolyn allen's and then we were going to bop over to the courthouse for hte marriage license. how quick of a drive is it and if we are in line when 4:30 rolls around, are they going to shoo us away?
Also, read about the divorce thing. Do I need a decree or anything if the divorce was longer than 1 year ago?

Does anyone know what would be the (approx) cost of a taxi to either courthouse from Disney property (AKL)? Also..does anyone know which courthouse would be nearest to AKL? Thanks! :flower:

I dont know how mch a taxi would cost, but we were told by our EM that the courthouse in Kissimmee was the closest. Its right down 192, rather them taking any highways... For us, that was the best b/c it was a very busy week, Spring Break and Easter.

Hope this helps
Jamie

I'm not sure of a cab price, but it may be less expensive to arrange a towncar service for the run. We did a limo through WDW transportation and were picked up and returned within 2 hours, and our driver actually dropped us at MGM, where we were meeting up with family to enjoy the day.

We've been quoted $95 for a return trip..what with a tip, this was alot more than I was hoping to pay for taxis. :sad2:
