orlando church

Hi,

I have had my heart set on a disney wedding for over a year now, but i am so concerned about not being able to fill my room blocks that I have been considering other options.
One of the options for the reception is paradisecoveorlando - it is beautiful and to be honest i think i may have fallen in love

but the ceremony is another thing completely, I mean how do you compare anything to the wedding pavilion

I would consider a church in orlando but the problem with that is that neither me or my fiance are religeous.

One church i have seen that looks lovely is the Cathedral of the Incarnation Anglican Church in America - google it

I found someones wedding photos online and it is nice inside and out.
I wonder if anyone knows of this church???

i don't know if not being religeous would be a problem ? also i don't know what religeon this church is??

any ideas???

Why not consider an outside venue or ballroom ? If neither of you are religious, it seems kind of silly to get married in a church. I am sure there are tons of ballrooms that could be appropriately decorated for a wedding. Just a thought.

I agree it does seem kinda silly but there is something about a church setting that makes it all seem very real - if you know what i mean

You may want to contact the churches you are looking at. Some churches may not let non-parishoners get married there unless there are special circumstances, and often times a destination wedding doesn't count. I just don't want you to get excited about something that may not be able to happens.

Just to second what HmGolden has said, I think the majority of churches have requirements set reguarding weddings/baptisms/ect.

For my daughter's baptism we had to attend for 6 months.

When we looked into a church wedding to humor my grandmother it was a year of services, plus religious education for my fiance since he was never baptised, and was not Catholic.

That is something you should look into prior to getting really set on a venue, only to find out it's impossible to book.

Also, I didn't check out the photos yet, but if it is a very elaborate church, they can have waiting lists of up to 4 years + to secure a date. My cousins ran into that issue, and gave up.

No its not an elaborate church, just a small quaint looking thing

For church's here in the u.k it seems to be the same story about attendance for 6 months etc.....

There are however, non-denomonational churches where anyone can be married.

I don't want anyone to think that I dont respect other peoples religion - I do, its just that we are not religious but still would like to marry in a church type setting, hence the reason we like the wedding pavilion.

Are there other non-denomonational church type settings (like the wedding pavilion (though obviously not as grand ) in orlando???

The reason we thought about changing from a DFTW to something outside of disney was due to the room nights we have to meet, however One of my guests have told me that they probably will stay in a disney hotel so that takes care of 10 nights

Just needed to look at all my options
