Orlando Airport Question!

My boyfriend and I are flying into Orlando separately and our flights are three hours apart. We've never been to the Orlando airport, so we're not exactly sure where we can meet up. If someone could help me out with these questions, that would be great!

He's getting in first, and will be collecting his luggage (we're using Magical Express but we're collecting our luggage due to the flight arrival differences and various other reasons)... After he goes down to Floor 2 to get his baggage, can he get back up to floor 3 to meet me at the gate, or will he have left the secure area?

If he has left the secure area, he will stay at the baggage area and meet me there, but if I come in on the opposite side (A as opposed to B since he's on United and I'm on AC), will he be able to cross over and meet me in the baggage area for A? Can you just walk between A and B sides easily?

If none of these work, we'll just meet at Magical Express but I was hoping to meet up before then!

I hope these questions make sense and any help would be greatly appreciated!

No he can not meet you at the gate if he has left the secure area. You need a boarding pass to get through security. He can however get to baggage claim A from baggage claim b . I believe he has to go up to the main level then back down on the other side of the main area ( make sense?). I agree with the others about meeting at a major landmark though. ( ie Disney Store etc..)

He could go and collect his luggage and then go back up to the main floor where the shops (including Disney Store) are. There is a great sitting area there and lots of people to watch, the benches are just steps from the front of the Disney Store, and the store is very visable from the area you will be coming from.

Here is a pic that I found (another poster on the DIS) of the atrium area at MCO. The Disney store is one of the stores along the side, but it gives you a good idea of the seating etc.

There are actually 2 Disney stores so make sure you are at the same one.
