Orlando airport question

This is a great board!

Do all the arrivals for Orlando go to the same terminal building for baggage claim? I ask because I will be meeting other family coming in on Southwest and I will be arriving via USAirways. We would like to find a central meeting area as we are scheduled to arrive within an hour of each other. (in a perfect world anyway!)

The U.S. Airways and Southwest passengers arrive in areas as far apart as you can get. Midway for you would be somewhere in the food service area. There is a McDonalds and several other short order restaurants and you would be able to watch for them coming in from Sofuthwest.

Baggage claim for all airlines is in the same building but there is the A-side and there is the B-side. So when Edd is saying they are far apart I'm assuming he means Southwest is on the A-side and USAirways is on the B-side.

If you go one level up from baggage claim then you're in the main terminal portion of the building which is the large lobby, departure/arrival boards and shops. (Airline check-in desks are also on that level, A-side and B-side). So that level is a good place to meet and the food court is also in this area.

If you both have cell phones you should have little problem hooking up. But whoever is scheduled to arrive first might best plan to meet the other party at the second party's baggage claim area. So for instance if you're arriving first on Southwest then get your luggage and then take the escalator or elevator up one level, cross to the other side of the main lobby and take the escalator or elevator down one level on the opposite side and sit around USAirways baggage claim. Or v.v.

Thanks...I found a map of MCO and can see what you are saying about going up from baggage to get back over to the other baggage side. Food court area sounds like a plan. I am glad all the baggages go to a central terminal. Great help!
