Orlando airport hotels area is it safe?

Hello:

I am not too familiar with the Orlando airport hotel area, is it safe to stroll around to restaurants in the evening? I know they say that there are areas to be wary of in Orlando.

Seems safe enough but really not a lot there. Chiles, Hooters, Dennys and the restaurants in the hotels. You could take the hotel shuttle to the airport and eat in the Hyatt or airport food court.

My main safety concern about walking between airport hotels wouldn't be personal safety issues so much as the much more likely chance of getting mowed down by high speed traffic!! It is not a pedestrian friendly area.... you might get by walking from your hotel to one next door but there aren't many free standing restaurants and the ones that there are are across a big busy thoroughfare from most of the hotels.

I would suggest dinner in your hotel or using one of the delivery services to bring you dinner from an area restaurant if you don't have a car.
