Hi, I am considering going a day early for our holiday next year and staying in the orlando airport hotel for one night.

This will only be if the later ba flight is cheaper. I am thinking of one that has balconies looking over the terminal as you walk through.

Anyone else done this and how did you find it? We will be doing the disney express the day after I am guessing this doesn't matter just a case of booking for the morning after rather than after the flight?

Thanks

We stayed at the Hyatt in September the night before our cruise and we thought it was very nice, we didn't request a particular room as we booked it all through Disney, so our balcony faced a car park but it was so quiet that it didn't matter. Room was nice and staff were friendly.

Personally if we going to Disney I wouldn't bother staying at the Hyatt I'd just head straight out.

Its not cheap and you can be and it the parks straight away having unpacked if you head straight off otherwise you lose time on your first full day.

The only way it's worth it is if you're driving and want to have a drink on the flight. Even then it's not economically viable unless you're in PE or UC where the drinks are more readily flowing!

Thanks for your reply's.

It really is just looking at options at the moment . Agreed we normally would straight to port orleans. But we waiting on ba friends and family prices coming out, if day before is a lot cheaper and we landing at 20.00 the extra night at disney maybe to expensive. The Hyatt is around 100 dollars. Will have to compare when flights come out

Definitely not worth it IMO. We have arrived later than 8pm and always gone straight to our hotel. It might be an extra hour before you get into bed but at least by that point you are sorted.
BTW I thought the later BA flight got in at 6pm, not 8pm?

For me, I'd get onto Disney property ASAP even if that meant doing one night at a value resort before transferring over to my long stay hotel. That said, if ME start running really early morning and an airport hotel had a lovely spa and treatments I could see myself doing it as that could be a fun start joined to some airport shopping. That wouldn't be saving money in the long run though......!

I believe DME run 24 hours a day. We provided our flight no & arrival time so you might need to find a way around that if you want to travel next morning.
