Does anyone know what the original name of the Haunted Mansion was? I heard that it originally had a different name, but can’t find any info.

Nope, as far as I know, DL and WDW's have always been called Haunted Mansion. The one in Paris is Phantom Manor; maybe that's what you were thinking of?

Isn't that the Trivia Question from this week's "Inside the Magic" Podcast contest?

I think the ride itself has always been called "The Haunted Mansion." But in the storyline, it's called "Gracie Manor." Is that what you are talking about?

In a first background story written in 1957, it was referred to Gore Mansion. In a second version of the story it was called Bloodmere (or maybe Bloodmare) Manor.

Before it ever opened at DL, some promotional material and whatnot called it "the Haunted House". Since opening, it's always been the Haunted Mansion, in DL and MK.
