Nope, as far as I know, DL and WDW's have always been called Haunted Mansion. The one in Paris is Phantom Manor; maybe that's what you were thinking of?
I think the ride itself has always been called "The Haunted Mansion." But in the storyline, it's called "Gracie Manor." Is that what you are talking about?
In a first background story written in 1957, it was referred to Gore Mansion. In a second version of the story it was called Bloodmere (or maybe Bloodmare) Manor.
Before it ever opened at DL, some promotional material and whatnot called it "the Haunted House". Since opening, it's always been the Haunted Mansion, in DL and MK.
