My cousin recently unpacked a few boxes and found her AG Kirsten from 1986. She does not have the box, but the doll is in excellent (not played with) condition. The doll is signed and numbered on the torso by Pleasant Rowland. She also has the certificate of authenticity and a hardcover book that is signed and dated by the author.

My cousin would like to know the approximate value of her doll. She has tried searching on Ebay, but no signed dolls have come up for auction recently. Any ideas?

Is your cousin trying to sell the doll or just curious as to the value? I think contacting a toy collector may be the best option - but i think not having the box will have an impact on the value.

Thanks for replying. She is interested in selling, but she lives in a rural area so she was hoping to do it through the mail (Ebay or other) since she can't really take it to a Doll shop or other shop that specializes in Collectible toys.

I told her I would ask here on the DIS since you all seem to know a lot about AG and are all so helpful! Does anyone know of a good place she can e-mail pictures to get a general sense of its worth before trying to sell it? Thanks so much!
