You can ask there about joining the FE -- since it is now just 2 weeks to your sail date so the FE may have closed so people have time to purchase/make the gifts. If it is too late, maybe you and your friend's family can just fill your own or each other's FEs for the kids.

You'd have to head over to the Cruise Meet thread and see. That's where the decisions as to close date (if there is one) and how may rooms, etc. would be handled.

As PP states, you need to go to that thread and ask about the FE. I did just read through it and there is someone organizing an FE there. But with your cruise date coming up so soon you want to do that now. I also suggest you go to the Test Board and bring your post count up to 10 so you can PM ("Conversation").

Apparently not -- there is a "last call" for people to join the FE on that sailing -- they want all requests by tomorrow. I hope you made contact!

It's been a few year since we last went on a Disney cruise and participated in a FE ... they are a lot of fun and "work" but are worth it ... have been checking out some possible dates for this year but noticed that the corresponding Cruise Meet threads is not as active as before so not sure if FE's are popular anymore ...

It's possible that folks are interacting at cruise groups hosted on other websites. That's what's happening to my summer cruise--only newbies post to our cruise meet thread here, roughly at the rate of once a week, whereas everyone else is having multiple conversations daily on that major social media site which cannot be mentioned here.

I gave a deadline to join and indicated we had to close it down 2 or 3 weeks from sailing. This meant no last minute shopping for FE gifts. I will pm you a copy of our master list to show you how I organized that up. Closer to the close out date, I asked people to pm their stateroom numbers and family names for the master list. As soon as I had all that info, I pm'd the master list to everyone so they could do their shopping, or hand made items and label them. I also stipulated that everyone gifts as they choose to (ie: per person, or per cabin, or adults only, or children only ect...) I myself am giving one gift for adult couples to share, and then one gift per child.

It's been fun really!
