It's that time again ladies and gents!

Goal
Make room for the car by the time bad weather hits uh, my truck is to big to get into the garage. Darn 1930's Sears catalog homes :sad1: :rotfl2:

Treat
Buy garage storage systems. Get your car detailed.

Declutter
- sort tools, sports equipment, gardening, and lawn supplies, car-care products, and winter items such as shovels and snow blowers.
- Make other piles for things that need to be returned, repaired, donated, tossed, or stored elsewhere.
- Group containers of old paint, pesticides, and other chemicals. Call your city sanitation, fire dept, or local environmental group for disposal instructions.

Clean
- Sweep and clean floor
- Check for rodent and pest infestation
- Wall all windows, shelving, plastic storage bins, and garbage cans. Check for cracks in windows or leaks in roof.
- Clean, oil, and sharpen tools.
- Check garage door hinges and tracks for obstructions, dirt, or breakage.

Maintain
- Mount nails or storage systems for grouped items, such as garden supplies, tools, or sports equipment.
- Schedule appointments for lawn mower and snow blower maintenance.
- Call an exterminator or the county extension office for info on pest and rodent repellents.
- Do a quick cleanup once a month to keep things sorted properly. Move items to their proper places.
- Schedule a winterization appointment for your car.

I'll pass this one to DH, ;) the garage is strictly his space to do as he pleases.

I scrubbed the frig this past weekend, took everything out, pitched the mystery items, combined the multiple jars of same food stuffs. Doesn't that count for somethin'?:rolleyes1

Hi. I just told Dh that the garage and basement need to be super cleaned out before winter. We seam to have a mouse problem during that time, and with junk that piles up, we need to start now. Its just finding the time to get to the dump.

OH! I'm done.. I only have a driveway in front of the house..and I refuse to polish each individual rock!!! :)

I guess I'll finish last months bedrooms.. I have one left to do.. and I will have cleaned 5 bedrooms from top/bottom!

YIKES! :scared1: This is a scary scary project. We still have boxes in there from when we moved 2 years ago. Plus all the stuff that wont fit in the house. And forget getting the car in there. I am going to wait until it is cooler to tackle this one. So that will be November for me.

One half the garage has room for my car, freezer & shelving. The other side is full of woodworking equipment that spilled in the car side of the garage. This one is not happening here. I'll have to wait until October's challenge.

Oh, goody. This means I don't have to feel guilty in September that I'm not doing anything. We have a 2-car garage that DH keeps immaculately cleaned. He loves the cellar, but he REALLY loves the garage.
