hi does any one know of non- disney songs that they can play at the wp. i am having a organist.

Let me know about the organist. Also doesn't the WP come with the organist. I am in porcess of deciding the string quartet or the violinist? So this thread will help me too... Thx

Are you looking for traditional songs? Are these for preservice music? I used to sing at church weddings and these were always popular:

Trumpet Voluntary
Pachelbel's Canon
One Hand, One Heart (West Side Story)
Grow Old Along With Me
The Wedding Song (There Is Love)
Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring
Panis Angelicus
Ave Maria
songs from musicals, like Phantom of the Opera
Vivaldi's Four Seasons (I saw that mentioned in another thread)

I like Beethoven's Piano Sonata #8 in C Minor, Opus 13 "Pathetique" (yes, I copied that from a cd)

And of course there are two "wedding marches". One is the "Here comes the bride" and the other is the one usually used at the end. I apologize I can never remember which is which -- Mendelsohn is one of the composers.

If you want traditional, I used to work at a music store and I believe they sell "wedding" cd's in the classical section so you can listen to various composers and find the perfect songs for the feel of your wedding. I think I read here somewhere that they will play it if you provide sheet music. I am sure they know/have these common ones.

you can request a song from the orgnist well in advance...if he has the music he will play it. If not they can get it for a fee. HTH
