Organicdirect.com - anyone ever use them?

They deliver to NY & NJ and seem to have pretty decent prices. $4 delivery charge and they are only in your area once a week.

Googled to find reviews to no avail. Figured I'd ask the DISers.

not sure about them but unless the items they are selling you come from local farms it defeats the purpose of buying whole organic foods. Since when items are shipped they begin decay proccess and loose nutritional value.

I'm not looking to get flamed by other just posting truth studies show that items grown locally and organically retain better nutritional value and once you ship items over long distance your just adding to green house gases and carbon levels. There are a ton of local farms in ny that deliver to nyc that I would look into I know that I've done a google search and theres even a farm that does local and heritage meat products that are organic fed and hormone free they do dairy products also.
