Adapted from the original Bakerella recipe

Oreo Truffles

1 package oreo cookies (I use 4 sleeves of the BJ's box)
1 8oz. package cream cheese (softened)
white candy melts

1. Crush cookies in food processor till like sand
2. Drop in softened cream cheese and process till ball holds together.
3. Roll the mixture into 1″ balls and place on wax paper covered cookie sheet (I use my mini ice cream scooper).
4. Put balls in freezer to set up for 20 min.
5. Melt chocolate as directed on the package and then dip balls into chocolate, tap off extra and set aside on wax paper covered cookie sheet to dry.
5. Once dry, refrigerate and enjoy!

Makes about 36 truffles.

These are so good. At work they call them "crack balls":). You can't eat just one.

Yeah...they are really good... and rich..

But you are what you eat... so I say EAT LOTS!! :rotfl2:

MMMMM..those sound so yummy! I'm going to add the ingredients to my grocery list and make them on Friday!

My friend makes these and they are delish. I made them and it taste like ick. So Deb, feel free to send me a batch. :)

I make these every year and have the worse time with the dipping. I've tried toothpicks, tongs, fork and it's just hard to dip them. Any tricks? I also freeze mine slightly before dipping:goodvibes

I have a chocolate melter that came with a rounded slotted spoon thing and I use that and they come out real nice. I will try to take a pic and post. I just made these yesterday. yum.

I have yet to have the candy melt smoothly. I tried the chocolate melter, and the microwave. It's always gloopy. But they taste great...

I use a double boiler and it melts the chocolate nice but dipping is another story! I will sometimes drizzle over the white chocolate with a dark chocolate just to help it look nicer.
