Blackberries are early this year--go get 'em! I went last night and stopped picking when the bag got too heavy to carry comfortably. I know off topic but any penny saved is a penny earned--(for Disneyland) I plan to freeze a lot this time with my foodsaver. :cutie:

That's funny you bring this up because blackberries are wild all over around here too. I'm always on the look out for them. When I see one I want to stop and pick the leaves though- to feed to my pet walking sticks! :rotfl:

mmmmmmmmmm blackberries...I remember picking blackberries when I was younger. :) On our way back from NV a couple weekends ago we saw a lot of people pulled over in the Sierras picking berries, unfortunately we were on a time crunch and didn't stop. I was to plant raspberries and blackberries, I love them!!

A few plants have sprung up in my yard. I'm trying to keep them going so I have a supply of leaves, but I don't want to let them get out of control either.
