Oregonians? How many times a year do you go to Disneyland?

I am considering buying an AP, and trying to go at least 2 times a year- curious how many tiems you go, an how long you stay...Also, how many stay offsite, and what is your fave offsite place?:goodvibes

We only go once a year. Always in November. My daughter, who is 7, can not take the heat in the Summer time. Any time it gets above 80 degree she melts. Also, my husband works for a Fire District and this is his slower time of the year. We have always stayed on site, until this year. We are trying the Candy Cane Inn for the first time.

This year might be different. I'm turning 40 in April, and I'm thinking maybe just a Mom and Dad trip to celebrate my birthday. So, we are in the same boat as you, should we buy AP's this year or not????

We are also thinking that our daughter is older now and would be ready to do the long flight to Disney World next year.

Keep in mind that you can still make good use of an AP, even if you only go once per year, by staggering your dates a little. For example, buy an AP and go the 3rd week of Nov. The next year, go the 2nd week of Nov -- your AP will still be valid. That way, you only need to buy an AP once every two years.

We don't go every year but I usually lump my trips together. During the 50th anniversary celebration, we had a big family trip in August '05, then I joined DH for a convention he was attending in December, then in June '06 I went with 2 of the kids. This year we are going again for the convention in December then I am going on the girl's only trip in February. Doubt I will convince DH to go again during the year so just I am getting the AP. Haven't really thought about it yet but I will probably use that as an excuse to squeeze in one more trip before it expires! Did the same kind of thing for WDW once, try to squeeze in a couple of trips with the AP then wait a few years to go back. DH always says it is probably the last time we will go but we keep going back.

We always fly to DL because it is just too far to make it worth driving - if we could make it in one day we would probably go more often like when we lived in Phoenix.

We are leaving TOMORROW for our 4th trip in 5 years.:banana:

But no AP's for us. We drive from Portland, and probably wouldn't quite make it twice in 52 weeks.

We usually go off season and get the 5 for 3 deals-- you never know what's going to be offered-- there may be something really good for the 55th. I think that's just going to be the volunteering thing though. We went every year from the time the youngest kid was 4 for about 5 years, then had a dry run. Now were back ;-) We stayed at HOJO last time and loved it. Going to stay there again this time.

We lived in portland and visited once a year to dl and wdw each. But then we started taking two dl trips instead. Right before we moved here we took 5 dl trips in 9 months lol we bought APs in nov and I think that made us visit more. We always stay onsite...tried hojo once and learned our lesson. We always try to visit for at least 4 days, unless it was just dh and I and then we went for 2 days.

If you think you'll be back within a year do invest in an AP, much cheaper than buying park hoppers for both visits depending on how long you stay :)
