Ordering Vons groceries to VGC??

I am planning on ordering a few items to have in our villa for the 3 nights. We will be checking in early Monday morning, but I doubt our villa will be ready.

What time should I plan to have the delivery? Should I make it about noon and hope that the VGC can refrigerate anything cold for us? It's really just a few items (milk, cream cheese, bagels, wine, cereal, juice...)

When ordering alcohol, you *have to be there* to accept the delivery. Either GC or Vons has this as a rule, and it won't be left, since they don't know if the recipient is 21+ or not.

Other than that, yes, GC will refrigerate anything that needs to stay cool. But you'd have to drop the wine from the order if your'e not going to be there.

I've done this several times. I just arranged a delivery time when I knew I could get back to the lobby to sign for it. I left instructions to call my cell phone once they were headed to the hotel and I just went back for signature. The bell staff stored everything and then when the room was ready, delivered it. One time we stayed in the park for a while after the text message that the room was ready and when we got up there, the food was already in the room.

The one time we arrived after 10:30pm we just eliminated the beer and wine from the order so it could get delivered and stored without our signature.
