I will be travelling to WDW from Ireland in August and saw that some people pre-ship provisions for their trip. I wondered if anyone had used an online grocery store to deliver items to their resort (shipping our own stuff won't be an option)?

I have two kids, one still in diapers and it would really cut down on our luggage if I could have the wipes, diapers, toiletries etc waiting for us when we arrive.

We'll more than likely be getting a towncar from the airport, but as we're arriving in the early evening and want to hit the parks for an hour or two, a stop at Publix would just take up too much time.

Any suggestions for some good online delivery services or tips on what I should do?

I have read report about people using www.netgrocer.com.
If you book through tiffany town car they will do a grocery stop for you. You can always get bell services to help you with your luggage.:smooth:

I used netgrocer form my trip last year. I didn't want to pack diapers, formula, baby food .... When we arrived at CSR my box was waiting for me.

I'm thinking of the same because I really don't want to do the grocery stop. However, I've read reports of CSR charging for holding packages. Was this the case?

Thanks

Thanks guys,

Magicmouse- we don't want to do the grocery stop because it's going to eat into the precious few hours we'll have at the park the first day we arrive (we're on the FTP and don't get there till after 7pm). Don't worry I will be using the bellhops, but it's getting the luggage over from Ireland I'm thinking of ( I don't fancy diapering the baby with diapers and wipes, that cost me $40 in excess baggage KWIM;) ) We're also stopping off at Boston for a night, so the lighter I can travel the better.

I'll check out netgrocer- are they fairly reliable with deliveries?

We weren't charged, I'm not sure if their policy has changed since then. The one thing with CSR is, instead of having the box at the front desk, we had to walk to the convention center and pick it up there. It wasn't a far walk.

We only used them the one time, but we had no problems.

I know they sell diapers and things at resort shops but they are expensive. You should have no probs. with netgrocer. If you could make the 30 min. grocery stop with TiffanyTowncars, Walmart and Publix are pretty cheap for toiletries etc. You pay a little more with netgrocer.
We used the bellhop at POR and had a lovely guy show us to our room. (even though it was only round the corner to the lobby!)
we were so tired we didnt realise how close our room was to check in!!!!
