Ordering Magicbands through MDE as a Resort Guest

For an upcoming trip I read that resort guests get a discount on Magicband +. Customized bands cannot be bought until 6 days before your trip. My question is do they mail them to you or do you pick them up when you check in? 6 days beforehand is cutting it close through mail. Is there a way to choose how I pick them up?

It’s not that you have to wait until 6 days before your trip. It’s that have have to order them by 6 days. You can order them pretty much right after you book. The website will tell you how many days you have left to order. If you order at least 10 days before your trip, they will be mailed to your house. From 6-10 days, they will be sent to your resort. Less than that, you can’t get them personalized. They used to give you a plain grey band at the resort if you didn’t order, I don’t know if they still do.

edit to add: all members of your party must order at once. It also won’t “save” the bands in your cart for future ordering.

If they're available for you to order, then you can order them (they will have a days remaining number for you, a countdown clock for the time left for you to order). We usually order our around 30 days out, except for our August trip where we waited for the MB+ to drop and then ordered. Our countdown clock was around 10 days remaining by that time.

I just ordered ours for December. I couldn’t buy them on the app; I ordered them off MDE on the website. Just be sure you are logged on the website so it recognizes your reservation.
