Ordering Magic Bands question

Good morning all, we are heading to Disney in Jan and are linked with a friend on thier DVC stay. I want to order our magic bands now and have them shipped to me (not to them).
When I go to customize it lets me put in my address and I can choose just our 3 bands so that part seems easy.
My question is will me ordering these and having them shipped to me mess up anything for them to order thier bands when they are ready? Will they be able to go in and do an order for thiers and get them shipped to them?

You will receive plain grey ones for them if they aren't customized. I suggest having your own MDE acct, get removed off of theirs (you have plenty of time). Link the reservation on your MDE. You should then be able customize and have only your MBs shipped to you. You won't receive them now. They'll ship 30 days before your stay.

It sounds like you might already have your own account as you only see your 3 bands. If you customize your bands, they will still have the ability to customize their bands up until the ship date. They don't ship right after you customize them, but are shipped a couple of weeks before your arrival date.

I am not sure I explained this well.
I have my own WDE account, all 5 of us are linked to the accounts (for reservations/trip planning etc) when I go in to customize/order magic bands I see all 5 people I want to customize/order mine (using my address) and still have them be able to go in and customize/order thiers (shipping to them) when they are ready.
It seems like this will not be an issue since the whole idea of linking people is to allow easier access to your own information but still be able to work with them.

Am I overthinking things? I just want to make sure I don't mess up anything for them.

We are linked with some friends and can see their reservations but not their magicbands so I am not sure. The only thing that may occur with your setup is that they all may be sent to one address if they all show up on one screen under magicbands. Everyone can customize and change up until the ship date which should be a couple of weeks out. You could call to ask about the shipping address to see if something needs to be changed in the system with your setup.

You should be fine then. My daughters are on linked to my MDE. We will customize at same time but mine ships to me and theirs ship to them.

They will ship all MagicBands to one address per reservation. You need to talk with your friends and decide on which address to have them sent to.
