Ordering from kids menu

Can I order from the kids menu in Disney World? We are going to the Sci Fi Dine In, and I am not a bigger eater and would prefer a kid's sized burger. Can I order that if I'm not on the dining plan?

So long as you are not on the dining plan, you should be fine. There have been reports of a few places saying no (one of the restaurants in the Mexico area of the World Showcase and the Plaza Inn in MK).
