I need to order contacts (Accuvue Oasys for Astigmatism) for DD. I'm trying to find the best place/price to order them from. Thanks!

I used to order contacts through 1800contacts so that I could get bonus points through MyPoints. But then the bonus points stopped. So I ordered once through ACLens for the MyPoints bonus. Now I order through Walgreens because they have been having a coupon off ordering contacts (I think $20).

I use to order from 1800 contacts too, but have found that my local stores are many times a little cheaper. We are in Long Island and I have been purchasing my lenses from Costco but I also believe that Walmart has very competitive pricing.

Good Luck!

Walmart was a better/same price for my son's contacts. I will have to shop around as he just got a new prescription, but Walmart has been great. Keep an eye out for rebates too. The people at Walmart always have forms.

My husband uses the same brand as your dd, and we usually use www.justlenses.com . Prices are fairly comparable for this type. The only downside is that these are special order and take up to 3 weeks to receive.

Good luck!:goodvibes

I've been told that Walmart just orders through 1-800 Contacts. A coworker said he went to Walmart for his exam, ordered contacts, and they shipped right to his house because it was through 1-800.

I've never ordered contacts online. I tried, but my perscription was up (hasn't changed in 20+ years...) I tried through VisionDirect.com. My contacts through the eye doctor and also through 1-800 I think are $40 per box of 6. VisionDirect.com is $25.99.

1-800 will price match to any other online company + an extra 5% off. Just call to place the order and say you found them cheaper somewhere else. They will ask for the site, verify the price and then give you the extra %.

My eye dr said he does not recommend using 1-800 contacts, he recommends going thru Costco because they will treat you better and because they are comparably priced. :)

The last 2 times I was getting new contacts I checked 1800contacts for a price and the I went to Target and got a price from them. Targets price was higher and I explained to the salesman that I got such and such price from 1800 contacts and he agreed to match the price with a few extra dollars taken off. He did look up the price on 1800 contacts just to be sure but, I thought it was great that they matched the price plus a few extra off.

I just order those over the weekend, the best I found was vision direct. There was a 20% code on the site, plus 11% from ebates, and there is a 60 mail in rebate. I paid 229 for a year supply, then I will get back the money from ebates and the rebate. Seemed like a good deal and much better than the $420 the eye doc wanted! Plus, I ordered sun and they shipped Wednesday with free shipping!

I just buy them from my eye doctor. One-stop shopping and the service is great. Once, I opened a new lens and it was ripped / defected. My eye doc gave me a box of what he calls free samples for my trouble.

Plus, when I order lenses from him, he tosses in a bunch of saline solution in various sizes as he knows I travel a lot.

I think the prices are the same as CostCo. At least, they were when I compared prices three years ago.

But, I've heard many people who love the convenience of online shopping and as long as you make sure you are getting the correct Rx, more power to you.
