Ordering at Afternoon Tea?

We are curious about the Afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian. Looking at the menu, it lists foods and then says "price per person." Is it customary (or mandatory) that everyone at the table orders the same tea service? Can you order different services or order one large service and then a variety of other specialties and drinks?

I just went on Thursday for the first time. You can each order a different tea. My mom and I both had the "Grand Tea" and it was a lot of food! We each were able to order a different type of tea as well. The couple next to us each ordered a different type of tea. I know this because their waitress was asking when they wanted her to bring out the courses since one of their tea's came with two and the other with three.

It was adorable and a lot of fun!

Each person orders whatever they want. It is so much fun and delicious. I loved every moment of having tea there! I hope you enjoy it!

Has anyone tried the Prince Edward Tea or the Gentlemans Tea-the ones that have meat dishes? My husband was thinking that might be more his speed rather than lots of fruit and sweets.

The multi course is per person and you can do seperately. You can also do a la carte. If you do a multi course treat it like a meal.

Yes, the men in my party each had one while we ladies enjoyed our tea. Apparently they went down very well - the plates were empty!
