We will be celebrating my husband's birthday and my sister and her husband's 20th anniversary at Carthay Circle restaurant in November. i wanted to order a cake, or two small ones. i spoke with someone at the Disney Dining phone number and got minimal information. i know they have those little pirate treasure chests and princess make-up box cakes. i know they can do a mickey head shaped cake. She said they can do a carrot cake, among other regular flavors. i wish they had a site with pictures. Has anyone ordered a cake at Disneyland?

You might want to start at the end of the thread and read backwards to get the most recent info.

I don't have pictures yet, but we did just order a 6" round cake from Disney dining to be delivered to Big Thunder Mountain Ranch BBQ right before Labor Day weekend. The other size options given were the character head cakes and an 8" round, or a full or half sheet cake. The 6" one I ordered was 33.00 and was to be charged at the time of delivery added to the restaurant bill. Everything went great as far as delivery! The cake was delicious too! I am still regretting not eating that last piece! They cut it and plated a piece for each of us, and packed up the remainder in a plastic box. They did not have a ton of fun flavor options, and we went with all chocolate. Other cake flavors are listed on the awesome thread linked above. I ordered exactly a week before our dinner. Have fun planning!

Are these only available at table service restaurants?
Yes.

This was from the beginning of the month. It was chocolate with chocolate mousse, and a butter cream frosting.

Here is Mickey (this is a 10"):

Are these recent?? I had given up on the idea of getting a cake because they all seemed so plain with just a flat character with a banner across the top. These I like! They show some personality!

Wow, those are cute! Ours was decorated exactly like the chocolate one with gold painted Mickey faces around the sides. A fondant banner and character. The multi colored option was not offered, but it looks so much more festive!

I had one for my 50th....I know it was chocolate and delicious but all I remember was the staff at CC singing Happy Birthday to me... eek! I was 6 again

I believe the Pluto one was 3 years ago. The Christmas one, I told them I wanted chocolate cake, chocolate mousse center, Christmasy, and with Mickey.
