Ordering a cake to a restaurant

Heyyy fellow disney enthusiasts! !
We are heading to DLR next wed and I want to get a cake delivered to a restaurant...does anyone know. .it's disneyland dining I call?? I have called and after I pick option 3 for dining it just rings and rings and rings. I really want to order a cake !! Help hahah

We got a cake delivered to Plaza Inn on 9/5, and yes it was just the DL dining number. (714) 781-3463

PP mentioned some of the options, but we also had the option of chocolate ganache for both filling and icing.

We got a chocolate cake with ganache both as filling and icing (our daughter likes chocolate, lol) with Minnie on top (it was a piece of chocolate with Minnie printed on it). A person brought our the cake and they played a birthday song over the speakers. She cut it and served it.

The table next to us when we were having breakfast with Minnie at plaza inn had a cake delivered to them. They were so nice and offered us a slice-- it was sooooo delicious! What a great family!

When I ordered a month ago I was also offered carrot cake.

You can also get fondant but it has a an up charge.

I just saw a gorgeous haunted mansion themed cake on the "something gross" thread. It had the bride and one of the husbands from the HM as the topper. Seriously awesome. Actually I think having seen that cake the bar may now have been raised much higher.

My cake is the most recent one posted in the cake thread (on the last page with weirdly tiny pictures ) when I called I asked about customizing our cake much more than what they offered. I was able to do a marble cake with cream filling with fresh raspberries. I also sent them an inspiration picture from a WDW cake that I liked and ours was beautifully decorated in an "under the sea" them to match our wedding themes. I had to get a call back with confirmation from the chef that it was possible but that was really easy and worked out great!

They will also prepare allergy friendly options. We are having a gluten free cake delivered on October 9th to Cafe Orleans for my mother in laws 78th birthday. We did the same thing in 2014. Last year we were in WDW and had a cake delivered to Ohana, but they temporarily lost it...talk about stress...We had no issues in DL and called the 714-781-3463 number. The cast members were prompt and very helpful! My mother in laws birthday coincides with our son's fall break so we are typically doing something Disney "for her birthday"!
