Ordering a cake - delivery to the room ....

I know at Deluxe resorts - having a cake delivered to your room is not a problem - done it before
But due to lack of funds (COVID-19 furloughed)
We will be staying at POP...
Our choice is...

• Mickey Mouse Celebration Dome Cake: $35 chocolate cake with chocolate mousse or vanilla cake with white chocolate mousse
• 6-inch $35 chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream or vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream; screen prints not available

Is the chocolate good chocolate ?
Does the chocolate taste pasty, cheap or dry ?
Not a rich chocolate flavor ?

Should we stick with vanilla - since the taste is generic ?

I'm not sure on the room, but we had the dome cake delivered to our Hoop-Dee-Doo-Revue diner. I really liked it, the kids though didn't care for the chocolate mousse, which backfired as I planned it during the HDDR knowing they wouldn't eat the strawberry shortcake that HDDR includes. But that's beside the point. If you like mousse, it's a good cake!

Chocolate can taste very different, depending on the grade of chocolate used
IE ... store bought chocolate chips vs a name brand chocolate chips in home made chocolate chip cookies.

I will order the vanilla cake with white chocolate mousse

Yeah, it wasn't a taste of chocolate thing. Turns out, the kids don't like mousse.

You do have the option to order a fancy fondant cake to be delivered to Pop (obviously depends on your budget). Another option is some restaurants will allow cake orders for the meal.

When I stayed at Pop in February, the Mickey dome celebration cake was right in the food court in the big display case. But you may still want to order one ahead of time to make sure you can get it.
