Hi guys, You will never believe it but work comp ok'd the power chair. I ordered a Bruno 2300 with lots of little extras. It is a front wheel drive chair. I looked at the Jazzy's, they were very nice, but I liked the seat on the bruno. It was the best for this wide behind of mine.;) I am hoping to have the chair by Jan 1. Thanks for all your help

Thats Wonderful to hear!!! Have to post of a pic of you in it when you recieve it! :)

Wow. Sounds neat!
A few hints: When they deliver it, check everything outas much as you can right away and then re-check it after he leaves. The guy who delivered my DD's power chair had not done a good job of preparing it. We found things like the swingaway armrests wouldn't stay locked, the footrest screws were not tightened down, so they moved after the wheelchair guy left. Stuff like that. Wheelchair people are not well known for customer service, so you are best off keeping the delivery person there for a while while you check it out.

I also check all the screws once a week or so. Sometimes they loosten and one of the screws actually fell out one time, leaving her controller arms pretty well hanging.

Hope you enjoy it. I didn't care for Bruno's chairs at all and Pride did my chair to my specs.

Ok, so now I am looking at lifts. Any suggestions? Something I can use by myself. I can transfter in and out of the w/c and walk to the front of the van/car with my cane if need be.
Thanks

Definately a Bruno for the lift. I love mine. It is so easy to use that I can do it my self. Hardest part is putting the lift bracket on the chair and that is real easy. :D :D :D
Go for the Bruno

Lisa, Which Bruno lift do you have? Do you have a Van? I am glad you like your lift so much.
I have the Bruno lift pamphlet here at home. There are a number of choices. I have to pay for the lift myself.. so I am trying to decide which one would be the best for me.
Thanks a lot!

I have the larger of the Curbsider models. I paid for mine myself and to me it was worth the extra in terms of safety and ease of use. I have had it about a year now and not a problem.

I am so happy for you. As Sue said really check the chair out. I had a problem with the heel straps they were too short so my feet weren't sitting comfortably on the foot rests. Make sure the arm rests are where you need them. Just make sure you are comfortable and well supported. I know I was so happy to get my chair I almost overlooked a lot. But I had a w/c specialist with me and she was insistent that everything be right.
Congratulations and Good Luck!
