I heard that you can order Christmas trees for your hotel room (onsite). Where? Are they fresh trees or artificial? Do you get to keep the tree and the ornaments? Any help is appreciated. Thanx.

You can order the trees directly through your hotel. They are artificial $200 for a 3.5' tree and $500 for a 6' tree.

they will deliver it to your room fully decorated and then they will ship it to your home, ornaments and all. Shipping is included in the price.

You can also check with Disney Florist.

We did it one year - $150 for a 3 foot tree with all Disney ornaments and white lights. Very pretty and I put it out on my dining room every year. They shipped it home for us.

The other years - bought a 4 ft. fiber optic tree with some ornaments, added some more ornaments and it was beautiful. The kids do love having a xmas tree in their room and finding their gifts under it.

It was always put on the table, lit up and the curtains pulled back. A nice site to greet you upon returning to your room from a long day.

Take care and hope this helps.

I think next Christmas I'll opt for a tree from Walmart....and throw it out when I'm done......I could save a few hundred dollars...:D :D :D

I ordered the 3 ft tree! It is being delivered to our room on Thanksgiving Day, while we are at dinner. It is a surprise for dh! :)
At first I thought it was expensive, but then I thought how we get to keep it forever, and it seemed totally worth it! :)

I'm so excited!

8 days til WDW!!! Yippppeeeeee!!! :) :) :)

I will be at ASMO Dec 7. and i know my family would just love having a tree in the room for the week.

where can i order this.......THANKS

I had thought about getting a tree to surprise my hubby, too. Does anyone have a picture of one of the trees that they ordered for their room from year's past? Would really love to see an example before shelling out so much money! ;)

Christmas trees are my weakness! It would make a great souvenir. :smooth:

princess angel - who did you call? Can you give specifics of what they told you about set up, sending home, etc. - we want to do this for xmas but have been waiting for the info (florist web site doesn't have holiday info out yet) Thanks!

Thanks for the reminder I have to give them a call and almost forgot!!

Hi swclark,

the concierge itinerary planner at the YC ordered my tree for me, but, I know she ordered it right from the WDW Florist
407-827-3505

Everything I know about the tree is that the cost is $200, and that is for a 3ft tree, fully decorated in Disney ornaments, they deliver it to your room when you want, and then the resort will pack it up at the end of your trip and ship it to your home.
The shipping is included in the price.

I think it is a great idea! I'm very excited!

Have a great trip!

Laura :)

There are also a couple of different (small) Disney Christmas trees in the recent Toys'R Us ad. I believe there was a classic Disney (blue) decorated tree & a princess (pink) tree to pick from. They are $29.99. I haven't seen them in person yet, but I was thinking of buying one & shipping it to our hotel instead of the $200 option. Not sure which is a better option yet.

Hope this helps someone! :D

I emailed the WDW florist and got this response:

WE HAVE 2 SIZE TREES. 3 FT $200.00
61/2
FT. $500.00

THEY COME WITH FIBER OPTIC LIGHTS, DISNEY ORNAMENTS AND HOLIDAY
TRIM. WE ALSO SUPPLY A BOX SO YOU CAN HAVE IT SHIPPED HOME.

I asked them about pictures and they said if I furnished them with a fax number they could fax them. Believe it or not, I don't have a fax line that's convenient, but perhaps someone else does.
Just thought I'd let you know what I found out.

In case anyone needs it, this is the website:

Hey, gang, I did not *order* the Christmas tree that you'll see in my photos, however, it was provided in my Animal Kingdom Lodge suite last Christmas by Disney (therefore I have no idea what it would have cost had I actually ordered it for purchase). This particular tree was six feet tall, lit with strings of lights, and decorated in an African style. It was gorgeous, to say the least, and my photos do not do it justice. I did notice that most of the ornaments on my tree were for sale in the resort's gift shop, and most of them were handcrafted in Africa. Click here for photos of the Christmas tree.

Thanks for posting the picks of the Christmas tree and the suite. The tree really did look great but (500, well maybe) and the suite living room was great to look at....

I guess now they changed it. When we got ours three 4 yrs. ago it was all done in white lights, but very pretty. If anyone does get a picture, please post it. Thanks.
