Orbitz reservation and room request?

Hello,

I will need 2 rooms at Pop which I plan to ask to be connecting (which I do understand is not guaranteed). Is there any problem with an original Orbitz reservation for this?

Do I ask Orbitz or Disney to add request to the reservation?

I have searched but found somewhat older and at times conflicting advice, so was hoping someone who has done this could please report.

Orbitz should be adding the request. When I made a request I called Orbitz they put me on hold made the request with Disney and the request was there when I arrived. I think if you call Disney directly they will do it but technically it should be made with Orbitz. Hope this helps.
