I purchased them last spring and picked them at Disney up in September. They are regular 5-day hoppers, no different from any other 5-day hopper that you would get directly from Disney. We ended up adding another day to the tickets and it only cost us the difference between a 5-day and a 6-day hopper when we upgraded them.

ETA: Orbitz does not mail tickets. You get a printable e-voucher that you redeem at a ticket window. If you're staying onsite and want to be able to schedule your FP+ times in advance, you will not be able to do it with these tickets.

Thanks for the reply I think I will book it tonight. Not worries about FP+ we are heading down pre cruise to pick them up and then won't go to park until after cruise

I normally dont pull the trigger on those deals. Not to say it isn't a deal, but if you compare to Undercover Tourist prices, there normally is either no difference, or UT is cheaper. They mail you actual tickets and have great support. UT also has tax worked into their prices, and you can get them even cheaper if you subscribe to mousesavers newsletter.

I purchased park tickets thru Orbitz (Ebates for the 10.5% rebate they had) and had no problems redeeming them. They email you a voucher that you print and take with you. Also, you can upgrade them to an annual pass. If I'm not mistaken, you go into the park 1st day then upgrade to AP.

I also purchased this through ebates in Sept. for my husband's ticket. I have an annual pass and we thought we might upgrade his. Printed the voucher and picked up the ticket at international gateway at Epcot. I inquired about upgrading and was told we could do it after first use, but before last day. We had no problem adding the ticket to MDE and booking fast passes for the rest of the trip. The cost is comparable to Undercover Tourist but with the 10% cash back I think it makes it a better buy if you can wait until arrival for your ticket!

Yes, that 10% back from Ebates makes it a sweet deal!:thumbsup2

Oh that's sweet never thought of ebates. The orbitz deal is 7 bucks cheaper anyways. How long does it take for ebates to pay

I got my payment in 48 hours of ordering the tickets. I got lucky because it said you wouldn't get your ebates payment till after the trip. I read alot of people here were still waiting for their payment, even after their trip.

I just read the terms and it looks like ebates pays quarterly

We ordered my mom's ticket in Aug and traveled in Sept. It took till the end of Dec to get credit for the purchase, and that was after about 10 emails. At first, they only gave us $1.80 (the rebate on an airline ticket), took another email to get the full price ($43). It was very aggravating and I don't know if we would do it again since we could have gotten them cheaper at UT up front.

Yes, they only pay you quarterly. I think the next one is in Feb. The credit from Orbitz was in my account within a few days after I purchased. Did not have to wait until my travel dates.

Does anyone know how long these promotions are good for (both the 3 day plus 2 Park Hopper pass and the ebates 10% back)? I'm not going for about 40 days and would prefer to order the Orbitz ticket closer to the trip rather than pay for them now. But, I dont want to miss out on either promo if that's a possiblity.

Thanks

What is the price difference between a 3-day and a 5-day park hopper? Is it substantial enough?

NVM... I looked it up. You realize you're only talking about an $8 difference, right?

Undercover Tourist has a 3-day park hopper (with 4th day free) as $333.95 with tax.

A 5-day park hopper is $341.87 including tax.

I'd go with Undercover Tourist in a heartbeat and get REAL tickets mailed to me.

The savings of the 3-day over 5-day is almost $29. The benefit is that buying from Orbitz using rebates gives you another $34 in savings.

I was able to buy the voucher in early Sept and redeem them in early Jan. I used it at the park and upgraded to AP later in the same day.

The only drawback is that you can not make FP+ picks beforehand unless you have other valid ticket media associated with your MDE profile.
Once you redeem the voucher for a ticket (plastic card) at Guest Services, then you can add the ticket (ID number on back) to your profile and then make your FP+ picks.

HTH!

341.87 divide by 5 (days)=68.37 per day

333.95 divide by 4 (days)=83.48 per day

add in the rebate thru Orbitz angle (10%?) and the Orbitz deal is effectively
61.53 per day...(341.87-34.18=307.69)
total price difference per day on those 2 choices is 21.96 :woohoo: per day...

that's substantial when buying for a family....for a family of 4 that's almost 22.00 per day less,multiply times 4 people(88.00) multiplied by 5 days($440.00 total savings):yay::woohoo::cool1:
I am writing this out to clarify it for myself too! :thumbsup2
( disclaimer, I may be off here, if I am,please correct my dismath;))

anyone know how these sales usually run? how long they last or how often they are offered?
