Finally!!!! The travel industry is starting to move on the late fall/winter dates - maybe Disney will get the idea and start offering discounts too!

I don't think so (someone will correct me if I'm wrong) but when you have a company like Orbitz, who buy these packages in bulk from Disney (which is why the can offer $100 off) Disney can not change your reservation- only Orbitz can and they are not going to give you a better deal and lose money.

You can cancel through Orbitz without penalty & rebook through Disney.. the only restriction is Disney's own cancellation policy

I priced the same 4 days with this Orbitz deal and on the WDW site and got the same price. Orbitz showed the room rate at $25 higher per day, then discounted $100 at the end.

My advice - price it our on the WDW site, too.

It worked out fine for me..

WDW 8/14-8/18 = $378.66
Orbitz 8/14-8/18 = $285.92

Orbitz defaulted to the Preferred Room which was what I priced out through WDW.. if I'd done the Standard room WDW would have been $311.xx still a savings through Orbitz.

I use Orbitz frequently for travel & always search for their coupons when comparing prices... I've saved anywhere from $40 on CSR a few years back to $200 on quite a few trips to Mexico these past few years!
