Has anyone stayed at Orbit One lately? I did a search on here and couldn't find much that was fromthe last couple of years. Recent reviews on other websites were generally positive, but few made it sound very very old and unkept.

We can get a 2 BR condo for $299 thru AFVC and it seems to be in a great location near the Sherberth road entrance as well.

Any recent visitors out there that can let me know how it was?

I think? that DisneySteve has stayed here a few times through SkyAuction and thought it was a great deal.

Have you tried searching on this board for keyword "Orbit One". These posts may come up.

Also did you check www.tripadvisor.com? They may have some more recent reviews?

Wish I could be of more help. When is your trip?

We stayed there two years ago and booked thru AFVC. It was okay. I would look on the high demand list and you will find something nicer for just a little more money.

How long was this for? As Paxtrist says you may get something nicer for very little more :)

Hi, ICF. Our family stayed at Orbit One the second week of December last year. Our room was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. The "resort" isn't anything fancy - there is just a small pool and a tennis court, but we were there to go to Disney and not hang out at the condo. We got a similar deal through Skyauction as to what you posted. We were on a budget, so for us it was worth it.

The shortcut to AK is easy and a terrific timesaver.

Also, Orbit One doesn't have high speed internet access, but the McDonald's across the street does. We had a lot of ice cream cones and playtime while Mom and Dad checked email.

The odd thing is....both the space-A and the high demand are showing available for $299 for the week which is the price that Space A's are supposed to be?!?!? (checking in date of Oct 20 or 21). The high demand shows a bunch for the $299 rate at this time including: Club Sevilla, Celebration World, Fairfield @ Cyprus Palms, Grand Lake resort, Silver Lake and a few others. Not all are 2 bedrooms (which we really want) or are in areas that we are that familar with.

We've stayed through other condo services @ Emerald Island and Windsor Palms and enjoyed both of them very much but have never used AFVC to book a condo before....but do love their price!! :)

We stayed at Orbit One this past January. We bought 2 weeks from Skyauction for about $165 per week. Total bargain. While this resort is older, the condos are HUGE! We liked that they are all 2 bedrooms. We felt that it was well kept up, but the carpet and floors were dirty (dirty socks from walking around.) We were in the Saturn area which was nice and quiet and we had a great screened patio that overlooked the back pool.

The location can't be beat; you really could be at AK in 5 minutes. The area around it is rather depressing; lots of cheap souvenier shops...

It was not a resort that we would like to spend the day hanging around. The pools were nice and warm but it lacked a "resort" feel. But, in January we didn't do that anyways. For a large, comfortable, convenient place to sleep and spread out, it was great. If a resort feel is important to you or if you are really picky, I would stay elsewhere.

We kept the perspective that we only paid $23/night which was amazing for what we got.

We would stay there again, but our next trip is going to be during warmer months so we will probably pay more and stay at Cypress Pointe or Sheraton Vistana... and spend more time at the pools.

Let me know if you have more questions.

Hope they have done some work here stayed here a few years back, oops 10 years ago. it was very old. Pool needed work, looks like in the pictures they may have done that I personally would not go back.

In January 07 our kitchen cabinets were brand new and the appliances were new, too. It is hard to say about the pool; nothing really stood out to me. The kiddie pool wasn't working, but the other pools and hot tub seemed fine.

Just saw this thread after we reserved our villa at Orbit One. We are going in October. Most reviews are a bit older. Has anyone stayed there recently? I'll post a review when we get back.
