I had my PS after yours and I am waiting for my BEO too! I know I am going to fall over when I see it!

i was kinda shocked but i said when we left it will be around 20-25k so 21k without floral i was kinda spot on!

after playing with the figures i got it down to 9500 without floral but yet to confirm with my planner yet

Welcome dinner nightmare!

we have organised a welcome dinner at chef mickeys 2 days before the wedding as a break the ice thing so everyone knows each other before the wedding and half our guests arent coming! i just think thats a bit rude really when its an hour out of there day to meet everyone!

i guess i'm being a bridezilla at the moment but it really wouldnt kill them to join us

Have they said why they aren't coming? Have they made plans? Is it the cost? The location?

If you really want to have one maybe you could change it to a breakfast or just drinks, more peole might be available then? I do think it is a bit strange though that they don't want to come.

we are just going to be ruthless and do stuff that we want and if they dont come its their loss. we cant worry about everyone on our day etc. i know its selfish but we cant please everyone so they will miss out etc

That exactly the right attitude to have! It shouldn't be your responsibility to act as a tour guide/hostess for everyone else! You've given them the opportunity... Stuff them if they don't turn up! You and DF will still have a fantastic time regardless!

Why anyone wouldn't want to go to a welcome dinner at Chef Mickeys is beyond me though! Strange folk!

I would not be happy, i don't think you are being a bridezilla at all. I am so lucky with my guests they are happy to do what ever we want, well none of them want to miss out on anything is what they are telling me....any way how do your lot know what they are going to be doing yet.....and they all have to eat don't they?
Sorry rant over but i just wish people were more considerate of the bride and groom's feelings.

You have the right attitude 100% and people may change their minds closer to the time.

We are having the opposite problem with our parents they are coming to every ADR we have booked. Its only my brothers family that we are getting a break from.

This wedding planning process gets quite disheartening doesn't it - it turns people you thought you could count on into inconsiderate demons!

I'm going to try and go into the rest of the planning process with no expectations from anyone else so we can't get disappointed, but it's impossible to plan things without knowing numbers in this game!

Good for you for remaining as positive as possible!

we thought the family would be the problems but its friends! i dont think they know what they are doind as none of them have been before but if thats what they want to do then so be it.

I think our life is being made easier as we booked with Travel city and all got free disney dining which means all the evening meals (x5) that will be booked next month are free for everyone. We are having a meal at living seas the night before the wedding, fantsmic meal, hoop de doo, polynesian show and backyard BBQ all spead out over two weeks.
For my hen do us girlies are going to eat at the UK in Epcot, watch fireworks then off to pleasure Island.

I am so sorry to hear some of you are having problems. I am having the opposite problem. A friend of ours keeps inviting people we don't really know. At the moment we are waiting to find out if a friend of hers is coming. I am a little put out as there is no way i could not invite her the the wedding as i would feel so bad, forty of us having a fun day and her left all on her own but then its an extra $170 for us to pay out and a strangar at our wedding

My Df says our friend that has invited her has got to pay. I am not asking the stranger as she would feel horrible sat at meal thinking "they did not want me here so i had to pay" . Its really stressing me out as i am a bit of a softy but and the moment Gav and his best man are really cross about this. I don't dare tell my parents ....oops

It upsets me to think that we'll miss free dining (presuming they offer it in 2009) by just a couple of weeks

see ours could of had free dining but choose to book a villa and its no going to cost them more that if they had booked a week on disney with free dining!

i would totally agree i would not pay for a stranger.

I'M HOPING THEY OFFER IT we booked as soon as prices were out and missed the offer so i'm waiting before i book next year to see if they offer it. we have never done dining before so would be great if we can book it for next year

Oh my word!!! What IS it with people and a general lack of manners?! I would go absolutely ballistic if guests started inviting their friends to MY wedding left, right and centre!!! I'd also feel incredibly uncomfortable at the wedding of someone I didn't know!!

Are you going back for your one year anniversary?

I'm hoping we could do this to get a bit more use out of the annual passes, and have free dining again (we had this last year and loved it , for us it would have worked out about the right price if we'd have paid to add it on so we wouldn't do it again unless it was free!)

Will have to see how the budget goes, but it'd seem a shame to waste those annual passes!

If it wasn't for those pesky in-laws and their teaching jobs meaning we can't go til late October and would've been going for a free dining timed holiday in a shot!
