thanks a million :scratchin

you can see it on the map

http://www.thedibb.co.uk/villa/map.htm

along US 27 at the top of the map.

I would say around 30 to 45 minutes to WDW. there is generally alot of traffic on US 192....not to mention traffic lights.

added another 15 minutes to SW. (might be able to do it in less - sometimes it only took us 7 minutes)

I live north of there by about 10-11 miles or so, and pass it going to and from WDW. It's actually pretty conveniently located, and away from teh whole mess down on 192. You can take Sherbeth Road (make a left just after Purple Locator sign 5 by McD's and the tacky t-shirt shop) in the back way and turn right onto Osceola to get to all attractions. It's about 8 miles from Orangetree to AKL, so add from there. I'd say 20-30 minutes to DTD (depending on traffic), 20-25 minutes to the TTC for the MK, 15 minutes to Epcot and MGM.

There's a Super Wal-Mart that I'm pretty sure is 24 hours, and I want to think a Winn-Dixie very close by, as well as pharmacies, a Wendy's, a couple banks for ATM's (I am sure there's a BofA), and yum--Simka's Sweets across and just down the road in Cagan's Crossing.

Let me know if there's anything else you want to know about the area--I'll be headed that way next Tuesday if not before and I'll try to remember to look.

BTW--There's NO WAY you could make it to SeaWorld from there in 20 minutes unless you own a helicopter.

thank you both so much for taking the time to reply, i really appreciate it.it's a bit nervewracking committing to booking a home when i haven't a clue where i'm going!! thanks again

It is a good drive but I agree with the above poster that it is away from "the mess"!
Several pharmacies and grocery stores and right near the interstate to go to Tampa (Busch Gardens).
Lovely lovely area is Orange Tree.

We just got back form a home thee and really enjoyed it. It was a bit longer drive then I would have liked....about 20 minutes but we got a great deal and a last minute booking. For me the worst part of driving is having to pack the car up and buckle all the kids, etc That doesn't change no matter how far tyou drive. It was nice to be able to hop over to walmart and the construction on the main rd outside the subdivision was only bad at night.

It seemed rather dark and hard to tell where you were going when we weren't familiar.

Our home was very nice and very reasonable.
