Official Name: Tomorrowland (8/9) (Part of the nine-pin Disneyland Set.)
Sold for: 250 Credits
When: Beta

This pin may not seem good, judging by the price, but many people didn't get it during the specified weekend that it was sold, so now it is quite rare. So if you are looking for one, I would hit the beta or rare trade rooms. Many times the owners have good pins. Sometimes, even the traders might. I will keep you posted if I see anyone who has one for trade.

I usually keep my opinion to myself. Many times I start to answer back to a particular thread and just delete it before I send it. I was so appalled by the actions and ethics of those of you who tried to undercut justliketink that I pmed TikiKrissy about this last night. By the way let me say it is not TikiKrissy's fault that you were not fair and did not want your intentions to be known by others. I am sure you did not want someone know what you are offering and offer more or other people to know what the kind of person you are:a backstabber.
TikiKrissy has responded to my pm. She sounds like a very fair individual who has become so overwhelmed by this that she does not want to trade on Dis boards after this again.
I am sure Tiki will do the right think as she has assured me.
And for those of you who tried to hijack this trade I have one thing to say. "I have absolutely no respect for you. I wish I knew who you were because I would not want to be associated with you. Do all of us a favor if I am on your friend list delete me because if I find out who you were I will."

But TikiKrissy said that she might be trading this pin. I only wanted to make an offer. I do believe that the most fair thing would be to consider the op's offer first. And I stated that in another pm. But, if a person is willing to trade something, then that person should get what they want most out of the trade and be able to trade it to whom they want. Without pressure from anyone. Including the people offering for the item.

If TikiKrissy wants to trade to justliketink, then that's fine with me. It certainly won't hurt me. If she wants to trade with me, then that's great. If she wants to trade with someone else who made an offer, then that fine with me too. But it should be up to TikiKrissy and what she thinks is fair all the way around.

So please don't accuse everyone of backstabbing. Beause I certainly was not trying to and certainly will not. If TikiKrissy was offended by me offering, then by all means I withdraw my offer. But if she was, then she should have told me. Not complained about it to someone else.

This is a coveted pin and I know many people are interested in it.

I would perhaps not go so far as to call the usurpers in this thread backstabbers, but I do feel that it was an unfair trade practice. And this is why:

This was not started as a "I have _____ to trade: make offers" thread. In threads like that PM's fly as well as posted offers to the thread.
The difference, as I see it, is that justliketink started the thread that said she wanted the pin. She got a response and negotiations were underway. Then other people saw there was a pin available and tried to up the offers. That is what seems to be disconcerting. Justliketink said "I want this pin", the response was "I have it, let's trade" and then lots of other people got involved in something that was never intended to be an "open offer" type of forum.

If justlikeink and tikikrissy couldn't agree on negotiations, then perhaps tikikrissy would post a "I have a tomorrowland pin for trade thread" and she could field all the offers she wants.

I feel bad for both justliketink and tikikrissy. What should have been an easy and smooth transaction, is turning into a nightmare for both of them.

Fist, This thread was posted in Trade and wishes Board. Second, The OP stated she is looking for a particular item. Third, Someone said they have the item and are willing to trade. Fourth, The OP says she is engaging in the trade. Sixth, Other people seeing this go ahead and start sending pm to the person having the item.
When I see people undermining the OP and go ahead and pm the person without having their intention known to the OP I call it as I see it backstabbing. And that is something happening alot. It seems some people are just getting so involved in this VIRTUAL GAME the ethic doesn't mean much to them anymore. We the adult of this community should set standards for our kids and other kids in here. I do not think it is ok to try to cheat the OP after knowing what they are offering and uping that. I would have no problem if other people who go a head and pm the person who has the item or the person who is willing to trade make their intention known but doing it in comfort of pm for no one else to see yes I do have a problem with.

I don't think that Tiki will be doing anything wrong by trading to the highest bidder. It's a rare pin and just because she posted on thie thread does not mean she has to accept the offer of the OP. MANY times someons posts on this board without knowing the value of something they have.

Private messages happen all the time. I get them often when I offer something or post that I have something. I think the people really want my attention rather than are trying to cheat. That is a strong word and probably should not be used in this context.

Someone offering more than the original poster is a far cry from the outright stealing we call cheating which happen daily in VMK. So maybe take a little softer approach.
