How can I get orange lakes the cheapest? Also, are new resorts easy to get or will I be put in an old one. I read somewhere but I can't remember where about a new pool area they are building. Does anyone know when it will be completed? ::MinnieMo

hey I got a great rate for OL 2-bedroom $140 for the entire week!!!

RCI was having a sale - the sale not being advertised. You had to call and ask. Silly way to have a sale (my opinion).

I have found the cheapest way is to get a cheap timeshares that trades through RCI - then you have to pay the maintence fees and exchange fee.

but I go to Orlando alot!!!

you can hope for one to turn up on skyauction. but it has been a long while since I have seem one there.

but spicey do you have to be a member to take advantage of the sale similar to last call and extra vacations?

or did you have to use the 25% off week banked in your account??

third and fourth questions, how did you learn about the sale and how long ago was this since you seem to plan ahead as we do?

I think it was you who know me about the sale.

I was looking for Sept and I think you mentioned a great sale you got by calling RCI.

So I called RCI and they had Orange Lake, Sheraton Vistana and Hilton Grand Vacation Club. I had stayed at both Sheraton Vistana and HGVC so it could not apply to them or so I was told.

So I went with Orange Lake.

although this was cash only. I think this will count against me as an exchange. She referred to it as an extra vacation but priced like a last minute vacation.

It is a great deal. I don't know what type of a room we will get - but since it is off season I am hoping for a nice one.

Now I am not going to complaint no matter what - not at that price.

the Celebration World Resort where my brother was staying would have cost me more.

besides mother did not want to stay in the same place as them....or she wanted to try something new. Yes, I will go with her wanting to try something new if asked.

there are several Celebration World Resort listed now for $149 - only a 1-bedroom.

oh yes, how i remember the great luck we got with HGVC international...

but will not have to worry about that anymore since we added HGVC to our portfolio

got tired of not seeing anything available in Las Vegas most of the time and particularly around the CES show, so we bought 5000 points....

that along with OLCC ( week 51 and 52) plus the DVC OKW should provide us with enough vacations now ( but of course there is always skyauction and extra vacations/last calls to look at, but the cost for them seems to have jumped in the new year, maybe they will level out again since when they started extra vacations they were around the 500$ mark )

thanks for your reply

you have to be a member of RCI.

it is the regular member number.

lawsq - I am impressed!!!
although I think you need a Marriott.... :goodvibes :rotfl:

spiceycat

marriotts do not think we have enough family income ......they would not tour us in orlando.....so go figure ( maybe it was cuz we are from canada )

go find one resale!

I can't afford a Marriott and I know it.

but they let me tour -or did? I haven't been to one since last year.
